Twin Rivers has entered into an agreement with Waste Management of Mercer County.  Twin Rivers has one of the most extensive trash removal contracts you will find.

Household trash shall be packed securely in commercially available polyethylene or similar plastic bag                 

 ***NO PAPER BAGS*** and these PLASTIC BAGS shall be placed outside your privacy fence, either in the street and/or sidewalk depending on your  particular house location.

 

DETACHED HOMES shall place their PLASTIC BAGS  at the curb line.

  Bags shall weigh less than 25 pounds.

 Trash shall be put out for pick-up, prior to 6:30 AM the morning of OR the EVENING (dusk) before your scheduled pick-up day.

 VEHICLES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO DRIVE ON ANY FIRE LANE OR COMMON GROUND, FOR ANY REASON.

BULK refuse shall be collected from designated pick-up areas,  once each week,  only on the scheduled BULK pick-up day for your area.

There are no deviations from the scheduled days. Please arrange any deliveries to coincide with your pick-up day.

BULK items must not be put out at any other time or in any area, other than your designated bulk area. Bulk items shall be placed in your designated area NO earlier than the EVENING (dusk) before your scheduled pick-up.

“BULK REFUSE” is major household appliances, fixtures and furniture, ranges, refrigerators, washing machines, hot water boilers, bath tubs, screens and storm windows.  Other items acceptable as “BULK REFUSE” are: lawn and garden debris, including hedge clippings, leaves, small bushes, shrubs, and small tree branches, which SHALL BE TIED securely in bundles not more than 4 feet in length and weighing not more than 30 pounds.

The following items are considered “NON-COLLECTIBLE REFUSE” AND SHALL NOT be placed in any bulk area:

Earth, stones, trees, and any construction or demolition debris, including building materials and materials generated within common areas usually maintained by the Trustee.

Any materials generated by a PRIVATE CONTRACTOR working for you.  If you are paying a contractor to do work, in or around your home, you and/or your Contractor shall be responsible for the REMOVAL/DISPOSAL of any and all debris.

Recycling toters are labeled to indicate clearly what items should be deposited in each.    Quality and quantity are critical to effective recycling.

DO NOT INCLUDE - broken glass, or light bulbs, cosmetic, medicine or perfume bottles, No dishes or drinking glasses, No ceramics, decorative glass, No flower pots, window or mirror glass.  No aluminum foil, cooking or baking dishes, No pots pans or metal scrap, No margarine, sour cream, cheese or yogurt tubs, No metal or plastic tools or utensils.

INCLUDE - Newspapers & inserts, Phone Books, Magazine, Catalogs & “junk mail”, School, copier & computer paper, file folders, envelopes, Office paper.  White & colored stationary, Dry food boxes, (remove  liners), powered detergent boxes, shoe & gift boxes and paper bags.

DO NOT INCLUDE - plastic bags, paper towels, tissue or tissue paper.  No pizza boxes or other food stained boxes, no frozen food boxes, or wax paper.  No papers which contain plastic or foil. No telephone directories, No Styrofoam.
